Testing & Analysis of Environmentally Controlled Hazards

• Analysis of harmful substances contained in electrical and electronic products as per the RoHS Directive
  • Harmful heavy metals(Pb, Cd, Hg, Cr6+ and bromine-based com pounds(PBB, PBDE))
  • Analysis as per the Waste of Electrical and Electronic Equipment(WEEE) Directive and the End-of-Life Vehicles(ELV) Directive
  • Analysis of halogen compounds such as bromine(Br), chlorine(Cl), fluorine(F) and iodine(I)
  • Analysis of volatile organic compound(VOC) content
  • Analysis of the presence of harmful compounds in products, such as formaldehyde, phthalate plasticizer, HBCD, and TBBPA
  • Testing of children activity space for harmful substances in paints and building finishes; testing of playground sand for parasites

• Cleaning products: Agents used for cleaning and removal
• Laundry products: Laundry detergents, whiteners, fabric softeners
• Coating products: Gloss-coating agents, special-purpose coating agents, anti-rust agents, ironing aids
• Adhesives: Adhesives of various types
• Air fresheners: Air fresheners, deodorizing agents
• Dyes and paints: Dyes and paints for objects
• Printing and documentation products: Ink and toners for printing
• Beauty products: Cosmetic adhesives, tattoo dyes
• Disinfectants: Disinfectants and algicides
• Pesticides: Repellents
• Preservatives: Timber preservatives, filter-type preservatives
• Other: Candles, moisture absorbers, eye drops/sprays

Testing and inspection of food utensils & sanitary products

• Consigned inspection of the quality of equipment, packaging, and containers
  • Testing for residual heavy metals: Lead(Pb), cadmium(Cd), mercury(Hg), hexavalent chromium(Cr6+)
  • Testing based on common manufacturing criteria(Ink contents): Benzophenone, toluene(flexible packaging material)
  • Testing of property of materials against reference specifications: Dissolution testing of synthetic resins(40 types), rubber, paper, metal, wood, ceramics, glass, etc.
• General Requested Testing of Equipment, Packaging, and Containers
  • Testing for residues & property of materials against reference specifications: Analysis of harmful substances such as pollutants(lead, cadmium, arsenic, PCBs, etc.), unreacted raw materials(formaldehyde, vinyl chloride, etc.), processing aids(volatile substances, antimony, etc.), reaction products (phenol, nitrosamines, etc.)

  • Testing for phthalate-based plasticizers and bisphenol A
  • Testing of flexible packaging materials for residual solvents and toluene

Safety Control of Retail Cosmetic Products

• Items subject to the Regulations on Safety Standards of Cosmetics, etc. (Ministry of Food and Drug Safety Notification)

Validation of Cosmetic Product Labeling and Advertising

• Testing in accordance with the standard guideline on the control of cosmetic product labeling and advertising and on the analysis of cosmetic product ingredients having usage limit
• Sterilizers & preservatives: Free of parabens, phenoxyethanol, MIT/CMIT, etc.
• Ingredients having usage limits: Zinc pyrithione, toluene, benzophenone-3 (oxybenzone)
• 26types of allergens

Functional Cosmetics

• Brightening cosmetics, wrinkle-reduction cosmetics, UV blocking cosmetics
• Hair dyes, hair removers, cosmetic products for relief of acne, itching, and stretch marks, hair loss reduction

Quality Assessment of Cosmetic Products

• Banned ingredients
• Microplastics, tar pigments(Red No. 2, Red No. 102), steroids, etc.
• Testing in accordance with the standard guidelines on cosmetic product safety
• Testing & assessment of cosmetic product containers
• Testing & assessment of preservative capacity: KS M ISO 11930
• Efficacy assessment of external disinfectants(quasi-drug) by in vitro testing
